I have completed the redesign of Leafy Apartments.
The client wanted a site that is easy to update and they want to be able to do the updating themselves.In addition to that, the client wanted a very minimalistic, professional look for the site.
I decided to use WordPress as a CMS for this site. Although WordPress is a essentially a blogging platform,with some cutomization and code hacking, one can turn it into a CMS site. Which is what I did. The client is very happy with the end result.
Here is a Screenshot of the site's old design:

And here is a screenshot of the new design I created for the client:

This weekend I redesigned the website of Rocky’s Kustom Tattoos in Edenvale.
This was a fun project.
Their website was one of the first sites I created when I started web design
a few years ago. So now, a few years later, the site was outdated and since
it was also very graphic intense, the pages loaded very slowly.
So when they asked me to make the pages load a bit faster, I decided to
redesign the site completely instead. Whereas the original site was in
html format, I now redesigned the site to be dynamic and used WordPress
as the platform.
Here is a screenshot of the new website:
Design Info:
No template was used, it is a custom designed site.
The template is a custom template designed by me, ditto the custom header.
Extras on the site:
- Member registration;
- Guestbook integration;
- 2 X Photo Galleries;
- 2 X Random Image Gallery widgets;
- Stat Counter;
- Contact From;
The end result is a dynamic website, unlike the static one before, which means the
site now loads very fast. Due to the fact that I custom designed the template and
header as well, the site still retains a very unique look.
I have designed a new website for A.L. Design Functions.

AFTER THE RE-DESIGN:
The company wanted the website to reflect the fact that there
products are environmentally friendly hence the colour scheme.
I found this to be a fun project and I got a bit creative with the navigation menu, by placing it in an unusual place on the page. This was a bit of a gamble as it then complicates things with regards to text and image layouts on certain pages, but in the end it all came together very nicely and the client is very happy with the end result.
Design Info:
- No templates were used, it is a custom design.
- It is a static html site consisting of 7+ web pages.
- The site also has a password protected area.
Extras on this Site:
- Password protected members area.
- File Download section in members area.
